Gretchen Gordon

Hi! For those of you who have been patients for a number of years, I am sure you know my story. I am Gretchen Gordon. I have been employed at Dr. Rifkin and Associates since 1987. Yes, you guessed it, it’s a great place to work and I love what I do. I am married to Chuck, and have two sons; Christopher 18 and Joshua 16. It is indeed a pleasure day in and day out taking care of each of you. You could be anywhere else, but you choose us and for that I say, “Thank you”. Please continue to have faith and confidence in allowing us to help you maintain a beautiful healthy smile.

Sharon Oberholtzer

I am a dental hygienist and have been with Dr. Rifkin for three years. I have a husband Mark, and two children. Danny is a sophomore at Auburn University, and Mallory is a senior at Mill Springs Academy. I attended hygiene school at the University of Texas at Houston. During my spare time I love to play tennis and workout at the gym.

Neka Collins

Greetings from your personal dental assistant, Neka. I have been employed at Dr. Rifkin and Associates since the fall of 1996. I am an expanded duties chairside dental assistant. My job is to make sure your visit is an awesome experience and to see that you receive quality dental care. My specialties include: taking care of your dental needs, making you comfortable during your visit, listening to your dental concerns, and last but not least, laughing at your jokes (especially the corny ones.)

A person once said, ”A beautiful smile can make someone’s day such a joy and it will take you a long way.” So let us make your smile something to smile about. (By the way, that wise person was me.)

Amy Roman

I attended Floyd College and obtained by my dental hygiene degree. I have been with Dr. Rifkin and Associates since 2000. Currently, I live in Acworth with my husband Tim and daughter Julia. I had many hobbies prior to becoming a Mom, but now, when I’m not caring for my patients, I can be found spending time with family and friends or volunteering at church. I take great pride in my work, and enjoy taking care of the children in the practice, talking you through your dental fears and taking care of the “High Maintenance” patients. (Y’all know who you are!) I look forward to seeing you soon.

Kate VanVolkenburg

Hi, my name is Kate and I am one of the three hygienists on staff here. I have been associated with the practice for over 30 years. Honestly, they didn’t hire me when I was 6! It has been a privilege to help each and every one of you with your dental health. I have loved sharing our lives together. Some of you were just children when you started in the practice and now I’m treating your children. Thanks for giving me this opportunity. Always remember—Floss, Brush and SMILE :)

Kim Lamanac

My name is Kim Lamanac, and I am one of the very first smiling faces you will see as you enter the office. It will be my pleasure to assist you with any financial or insurance concerns. Originally from Ohio, I moved here to Atlanta in 2005 to be closer to my siblings. I have two wonderful sons, Nik and Ian who still reside in Ohio. I have several years experience in the healthcare field, and have spent the last two years in dentistry. I enjoy the outdoors, the beach, reading and am very active in my church. I am excited to be part of Drs. Rifkin and Pandey’s practice and look forward in getting to know all of our fine patients.
